“I expect Teach For Lebanon to be a major player in Education in the underprivileged areas of Lebanon.”

Dr. Youssef El Khalil- Chairman of the Board of Trustees

Who we are

Since its inception in 2009, TFL has worked in schools in different regions of Lebanon from Akkar and Daniyyeh in the north to Saida and Hasbaya in the south and has impacted the lives of more than 18,500 underprivileged Lebanese, Palestinian, and Syrian students and others whose futures are clouded by social and economic factors. Due to its proven success and because education inequity remains a dire problem in Lebanon, TFL is embarking on an ambitious growth plan over the coming years. By 2020, TFL plans to place 100 Fellows in classrooms, directly reaching some 13,500 Lebanese students that year and an equal number of refugees.
