On September 13th, 2022, Fellows Ahmad El Baghdadi and Joyce Saade from Cohort 13, and Yasmina Noureddine from Cohort 14 represented Lebanon and the Lebanese Development Network (LDN) in a digital marketing workshop for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in North Macedonia as part of an Erasmus+ program in which five other countries were present (Albania, Italy, Montenegro, Macedonia, Poland).
The workshop ran for eight days and was conducted by the host organization, Marketing Gate, where participants shared how they apply the SDGS in their local context, and further discussed SDGS in general.
Not only did the participants discover how to broaden their audience and increase their familiarity with those SDGs through different social media platforms, but they also developed a quiz about those SDGs using "Kahoot”, to raise awareness about SDGs among students.
Here are the testimonials of the three Fellows:
Joyce (C13): "The SDGs are now integrated into my core values and my mindset. I didn't just make friends from around the world, I was part of a big family who shared the same values and worked collectively for a better world.”
Yasmine (C14): "It was an amazing opportunity to make connections with people from different parts of Europe, and it was eye-opening to different countries and cultures!"
Ahmad (C13): "This experience increased my knowledge of the SDGs and, furthermore, the work done with colleagues from different countries served as a bridge to connect with people from different backgrounds and to build a relationship that hopefully would last and prove to be helpful in the future.”
