Teach For Lebanon Attends Dialogue on Education Reform

by Teach For Lebanon - Jan 21,2025

On January 13, 2025, at the Pivot Leadership for System Change Conference in Pakistan, our Executive Director, Janine Weber-el Meouchy, participated in the "Leadership at All Levels: Building Capacity for Reform" panel. Moderated by Ms. Khadija S. Bakhtiar, CEO of Teach For Pakistan, the session also featured esteemed speakers Dr. Faisal Bari, Ms. Amna Akhtar, and Ms. Mehnaz Akbar Aziz.

The panel focused on the transformative power of leadership in education, highlighting the need to build leadership capacity at every level to reimagine education and drive meaningful, system-wide reform. Attendees also visited local schools, gaining valuable insights into the innovative practices and challenges shaping education in Pakistan.

Education systems don't change by themselves—they are transformed by visionary and bold leaders who reimagine possibilities, inspire others, and navigate the complexities of change.

Teach For Lebanon extends its gratitude to Teach For Pakistan for the opportunity to engage in this impactful event and contribute to the global dialogue on education reform.

A Testimonial from TFL's Executive Director, Mrs. Janine Weber-el Meouchy:

"Our journey across Pakistan and Lebanon has reaffirmed a powerful truth: education is the most potent catalyst for community transformation. I am immensely thankful to our fellows and alumni, who dedicate themselves daily to this cause, ensuring that every child can dream of and achieve a better life. Their efforts are creating ripples across more than 60 countries with independent local Teach For Offices, proving that change is possible when hearts and minds work in unity."
