"Education is the most powerful weapon which we can use to change the world”

At Teach For Lebanon, we believe in the power of education to shape a better future for Lebanon. On February 1, 2025, our Fellows gathered at LAU Beirut for a transformative Professional Development (PD) session, focusing on two areas: Trauma-Informed Teaching and Ethical AI Usage & Prompt Engineering.
Trauma-Informed Teaching provides Fellows with the tools to understand and support students who face emotional and psychological challenges. By creating safe, nurturing environments, our Fellows are empowered to meet the diverse needs of their students.
Meanwhile, the session on Ethical AI Usage & Prompt Engineering explored how technology can be integrated responsibly into education. In an age of rapid technological change, it is essential for educators to understand how to navigate AI in ways that enhance the learning experience while maintaining ethical standards.
The day was further enriched by the personal reflection of Cohort 14 alumna, Mariam Chehab, who shared how the Fellowship has shaped her journey as an educator. Her story highlights the ongoing impact of the program, as Teach For Lebanon continues to support and empower educators who are committed to creating positive change in their classrooms and communities.
We were also pleased to have TFL’s Executive Director Mrs. Janine Weber-el Meouhcy attend the session, emphasizing the importance of continuous professional development for shaping impactful leaders and educators.
Teach For Lebanon is committed to providing our Fellows with the tools and knowledge they need to lead with purpose, empathy, and integrity. By investing in their professional development, we are shaping the future of education in Lebanon and beyond.
