This September 500 Access students across Lebanon learned about International Peace Day, International Democracy Day, and World Tourism Day through the program’s “U.S. culture and values” sessions. In the last week of the month, all of the students gave 3–5 minute presentations on a topic of their choice inspired by the international days they were introduced to.
At the start of classes in April, most of the students couldn’t introduce themselves in English; now they gave lively presentations in this language. Congratulations to our Access students for their remarkable improvements throughout the program and to our teachers for the amazing job they’ve been doing despite challenging circumstances!
