On March 23, 2022, Teach For Lebanon hosted at its office at Badaro Street, Beirut, the Regional English Language Officer (RELO), Eran Williams, accompanied from Amman by the Regional Public Engagement Specialist (REPS), Sacha Fraiture, along with the U.S. Embassy in Beirut’s Public Affairs Officer, Kristina Hayden, and Cultural Affairs Assistant, Edith Bitar. The four-hour visit tackled the implementation of the three components of the English Access Microscholarship Program by TFL’s Access Program team: Scholarship, Teachers Training, and Alumni.
During the meeting, presentations to the guests were made by Salyne El Samarany - TFL’s CEO, George El Assad- Access Program Director, Manar Hammoud- Access Program Coordinator, Rodaina Boushaheen- Access Alumni Coordinator, Pamela Hindi- Access MEAL Coordinator, Ghewa Zeitouni- TFL’s Finance Manager, and Zeina Kammoun- TFL’s Marketing & Communication Manager.
In her presentation, Salyne El Samarany treated the guests to an introduction to TFL’s activities, mission, vision, core values, Theory of Change (TOC), as well as the Lebanese education context.
Concluding the meeting, the attendees expressed a high appreciation of TFL’s work, and RELO’s words were: “Your team is the most organized team I have seen.”
